Batesville is governed by a Mayor and eight City Council members, each representing a Ward. The Mayor serves a four-year term and Council serve two-year terms. The Mayor and Council oversee city departments which are managed by Supervisors who are appointed by the Mayor.

She is a member of the White River Medical Center Foundation Board and also of the Main Street Batesville organization. |

He and his wife Susan own and operate Century 21 Gateway Properties. R.L. is a Real Estate Broker and Certified General Appriaser. He is the Past President of Batesville Board of REALTORS 1981, 1990 and 2000, and REALTER of the Year for 1981 and 2000. R.L. and Susan have two children, Amy and Chris.

He graduated from Batesville High School, University of Arkansas, and University of Tennessee Dental School. Dr. Matthews started his dental practice with his father in 1976. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Batesville Kiwanis Club, and the First United Methodist Church. Dr. Matthews served on the Batesville Planning Commission until he was elected to the Batesville City Council in 2005.

They have a daughter, Angie Gay, grandson Tyler Gay and a son Brian. Fred and his family moved to Batesville in 1980. He transferred here with The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company. He managed the local Goodyear store for 4 years. He started his own tire business in 1984, Krug Tire Service, Inc. He owned and operated his tire business for 16 years before it was sold. Fred is a Vietnam Veteran and is currently manager of Sleep Star Lite Furniture Company. Fred also serves on the Executive Board of the Lyon College Booster Club. |

He then graduated from the University of Arkansas in 1999 with a Bachelors Degree in Agricultural Business. Shortly after, he and his wife, Carmen, were fortunate enough to move back to Batesville to start their family. They have two sons, Rhet and Grant. They are memebers of the First United Methodist Church. Matt is employed by Townsends of Arkansas as a Field Service Technician. |
