City Dispatching Department

The City of Batesville's Central Communications Center consists of ten individuals trained in emergency communications. They are the emergency communication center for all of Batesville and Independence County. They dispatch the Independence County Sheriff's Office, Newark Police Department and town marshalls for Cushman, Oil Trough and Pleasant Plains. They also dispatch for the Batesville and Newark Fire Departments as well as fifteen rural fire departmenst. They also assist the Arkansas State Police as well as the Arkansas Highway Police and Game and Fish. This department is very important to the city and county and operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
